YuvAI Initiative

YuvaAI for Skilling and Capacity Building, a large-scale national initiative of the Government of India aimed at building foundational and applied AI capabilities among youth.

The initiative is building India’s next generation of AI innovators by enabling hands-on learning in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. It creates a full-stack ecosystem—from learning to innovation to startup acceleration—driving scalable, real-world AI impact. The curriculum is aligned with UNESCO’s student AI competency framework. Crucially, the program is not designed to produce traditional software engineers alone, but to cultivate AI-enabled problem-solvers capable of building solutions within their own communities.
